Transgender Scouts Still Welcome

Despite Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth’s bragging about getting Scouting America to end its “woke” ideology, the scouting organization formerly known as Boy Scouts of America clarified that transgender kids are still welcome to participate in their programs.

The Boy Scouts of America announced its 2025 rebrand to Scouting America, to reflect the organization’s ongoing commitment to welcome every youth and family in America to experience the benefits of scouting.

“We have transgender people in our program, and we’ll have transgender people in our program going forward,” President and CEO Roger Krone told the Associated Press this past February 27th, 2026.
