Following up with additional details --please help us share the invitation to this free event as sponsored by BACGD, in partnership with the Green Bay Film Society and the Neville Museum : "Being Thunder" (85 minutes / suitable for HS and above) on October 1st at 7:00 p.m.
A moderated panel discussion will follow the film, thanks to Leslie Doxtator and Joe Torres from the Oneida Nation of Wisconsin, and Kamewwanukiw Paula Rabideaux of the Menomonee Tribe Turtle Clan.
The movie is a gentle documentary about a young person (age 16) whose gender identity is woven through their life in a Rhode Island Indigenous Narragansett Community. Sherente Harris is caught between worlds as a two-spirit, trying to find a balance between their indigenous identity and their gender identity.
