Cisgender people have written defiant letters of love and solidarity to the trans community in a bid to combat rising transphobia in the United Kingdom. Not In Our Name (NION), a collective of cisgender allies, is urging trans allies to write their own letters of support as part of its ongoing campaign “Letters of Love”. Originally focused on Valentine’s Day, the campaign saw such popularity that NION now plans to keep it going until International Trans Day of Visibility (TDOV) on March 31st.

Dear Local Allies of Northeast Wisconin -- consider becoming involved!
NION urges as many allies to write letters as possible, saying it is “one small way” to show support for the community. “Trans people are constantly bombarded by toxic messaging that makes them feel like they are the problem. We refuse to let those be the only voices they hear,” they added. “Let’s make sure they hear our voices, too.”
If you are not transgender and would like to submit a letter, you can do so in the Google form here. Letters must be 200 words maximum. Thank you for helping spread the love!
