What Is the Trans Artists Collaborative (TAC)?
In the fall of 2022, the UW Green Bay Weidner Center for the Performing Arts provided a unique
opportunity for area artists and creatives to come together to stage “Unhinged”. It was an opportunity
for artists to “think and create outside of the box”. The mission of BACGD is “to provide support,
education, and advocacy for transgender persons, their families and allies”. With this opportunity a
group of trans artists and creatives come together to consider ways in which art, in its various
expressions, might be used to help BACGD carry out its mission. What emerged was the organization of
the Trans Artists Collaborative (TAC) and the first offering of The Transperience. Members of the TAC use
art, innovation and creativity for support, education and advocacy on behalf of the trans community and
its allies including the annual installation of a trans themed holiday tree as a part of the Festival of Trees
at the National Railroad Museum and the creation of “Stealth Pride Art” and merch for sale to support BACGD.
Following its successful premiere as part of Unhinged, it was then staged at
Oct. 2023 - Mulva library at St. Norbert College
August 2024 – Neville Public museum
Nov. 2024 – Student Union UWGB
March 2026 – Giant Jones Craft Brewery – Madison, Wisconsin
Additional bookings will be announced through this website . You can also stay in touch by getting

The Transperience includes various transfeminine works of art, multimedia images, soft sculptures,
apparel, voices, and interactive opportunities in the form of an immersive sensory art experience. All
who entered into it received a glimpse into the transfemme experience, its joys and challenges.
Following its successful premiere as part of Unhinged, it was then staged for a week at the Mulva library
of St. Norbert College in De Pere Wisconsin in October 2023. Additional bookings will be announced
through this website and you can stay in touch by getting connected to the BACGD newsletter. To learn
